BS SHP Builder Feature: Advanced Colour Replacement!
What was good will become even better, commander! We will make the colour replacement tool become a complete tool. Colour Replacement window will split into 5 operations:
1) User Selected Colours Replacement: You can select up to 18 colours (instead of just 5) to be replaced. Even if you choose all the 18 colours, the operation now takes less than a second with 1000 frames in most of the machines. Also, when you finish selecting both the colour to be replaced and the colour that will replace it, the program autochecks the colour for you. - Feature currently fully working
2) Mass Colour Replacement: Restricted to unitXXX.pal, this feature will allow you to choose groups of colours without having the hard work to select them and the ones to replace it. So, it will allow you to replace brown with remapable, or grey with dark grey, or blue with green... pratically instantaneously. - Feature not done yet.
3) Use Custom Scheme: This will do colour conversion by using custom scheme files. So, you select the file, and it auto converts remapable to gdi, allies, soviet, yuri or nod... and you can also create your own schemes with notepad or other text editor to speed up your future conversions. BS Palette Editor also creates cscheme files as well from JASC alettes. By default, BS SHP Builder 3.0 will include Pal Pack 1 and 2 schemes made by ArgCmdr, but CannisRabidus's palettes from Pal Pack 1 were not converted to cschemes and will NOT be distributed with BS SHP Builder. Stu has also added his custom schemes as well.
4) 16 Bits Effects: This allows you to change the ammount of red, blue and green in the colours, so you can make some effects. However, it ends translating the colours back to the palette's colours. This feature might have a risk of messing up with remapable colours. Use it with care.
5) Palette Conversion: This option will try to convert your picture from one palette to the other keeping the best quality possible. QUICK_EDIT

I've decided to CUT feature 2 and 3. No more mass replacement and custom scheme from Colour Replacement.
I'm doing that because I have fully restored Pal Pack's feature to its original way that was made by Stucuk two months ago. I will also add support for Red and Yellow operations, as well as custom schemes.
So, these features are replaced by something faster and better . QUICK_EDIT
(p.s u could use the same cscheme files with vxlse).
Note to banshee: custom cschemes would fall into 3 categorys Ts, RA2, YR. If im correct there id's are 1,2,3 but u should check the Palette Editor (which can make cscheme files)
Note mk.II: i actualy can' rememeber if i added custom cscheme's or just the pal pack ones......memory can't remember that far back... _________________ Free Map Editor - Game Requirements - Stucuk.Net QUICK_EDIT

uh oh... I added 3 extra categories before seeing your post ... Red (15), Yellow (16) and Custom (17). I've also made the program read custom palettes from /cschemes/Custom dir as well. I've already made some schemes (with wordpad) that I'm willing to add in the final version as well. I'm also thinking about making a button to 'reload' the schemes, so if you make a custom scheme in while using the program, you can still use it without restarting it... QUICK_EDIT

Garrrh! Pal Pack is a cool tool, but it can also be deadly in the beta version of BS SHP Builder 3. Due to lack of atention, I accidentally repainted all my scorpion sniper and lost the whole shp (it got fucked up and restoring it will be too hard. Unfortunatelly Undo currently doesnt work with Pal Pack. So, now, I'm stop being lazy and I'm working on an undo system for colour replacement tools (including pal pack). QUICK_EDIT
