Ares 0.C is ready for download
The final Ares 0.C has arrived, with new features like the long requested Bounty, particle optimizations, and many other assorted new toys to play with. Overall, again a smaller release, which adds a moderate amount of new features while also extending and reworking older parts like spotlights.
A few fixes are worth mentioning: Ivan Bombs can now be detonated on deactivated units or units that are berzerking. Also, NodAdvancedPower is now again considered as default power plant, and soviets again build the Nuclear Reactor to satisfy their power needs.
As always, a lot of internal changes were applied, which weren't too interesting this time.

Try to make some logics from RA3, C&C3 & C&C4, I prefer the alien photon weapon technology logic.

Probably was asked numerous times already but: is it technically possible to expand the Attach Effect logic so it would be able to affect target's ROF and range and not only its firepower, armor and speed? QUICK_EDIT

So a long time ago DCoder said that the current Attach Effect is hooked into the Crate upgrade logic so without reworking the crate system we can't change ROF and Range.
correct me if i am wrong AlexB.
AlexB how hard is it to seperate the mouse tag for [Heal] weapon and Carryall, since they both use the same frame and its a single frame could we use one of those fancy mouse tags Ares has for them.

Pretty sure I also said this. The main issue IIRC is that the veterancy bonuses (which I wanted to go for first) are seemingly applied in runtime and there was no function to override for adding those extra values. I didn't work much on Ares in the recent weeks, which also was because there was almost no feedback regarding 0.C. My initial plan was to release another version this week, but there's not much new yet and nothing has been tested anyhow. _________________ QUICK_EDIT
I don't know about others, but i didn't do much modding since 0.C was released anyway (so no testing anything myself either). Party because i was busy with other stuff, and partly because i'm waiting for the fix you mentioned here before i report more (i noticed another issue with CloningFacility=yes, but wanted to wait and see if this fix you made might have affected that).
If you can provide a binary with the fix, i can check it.
As far as stability goes, we didn't notice any issues with Ares when playing newer MO builds online, so there was nothing to report there. QUICK_EDIT
I don't mean technical feedback. That stability is good and features are working is not that important for a release that already lies in the past. It's more important for the next release, because there things still could be changed. _________________ QUICK_EDIT

Cool thanks, honestly I only tested bounty and that works fine, the only feedback I can think of is a global tag for bounty which overrides the default Bounty=no on technotypes.
Other than that when you say nothing has been tested, do you mean new features that you're working on? Also any chance of having attach.effect or animation damage give experience? QUICK_EDIT
