My Musical Input
I had been submitting my works to TI via facebook message and they suggested I sign up and post my works here for further input.
So the first song I submitted was something I am working on for my next album. Still a work in progress, but I posted it here:

Some interesting sounds in there. I quite like the voice in Damage Alert, reminds me of Kraftwerk. The autotuned voice in the WIP track would definitely be interesting to hear in TI too IMO.
I think the biggest thing to work on would be mixing, as it sounds kind of untreated. Everything seems centred and a little too raw. A lot of the synths would benefit with a bit of reverb, delay, chorus or other effects to give them a bit of life and create space IMO.
I also feel that they're both too repetitive and need a few changeups throughout to keep it interesting and leading you on. Having the same couple of bars of drums repeat for a whole 5+ minutes just means I end up zoning out and not paying attention.

Nah, it just needs variety. Gives me a lot of Necros/Basehead vibe (especially In Pursuit of Greed/Crusader No Remorse OST-akin), so I guess giving those a listen might help. _________________ "If you didn't get angry and mad and frustrated, that means you don't care about the end result, and are doing something wrong." - Greg Kroah-Hartman

Both remind me a lot on the old s3m/mod tracker format instrument sounds, like the one used in Turrican 2. This would be good for a shoot'em'up or jump and run, but doesn't fit that well into TI imo.
As mentioned by others they lack a bit depth like some nice melody by a different instrument and are thus quite repetitive.

Necros and Basehead are masters of that format, and really, you have no idea what that format can produce. Ask the first UT OST.
The main reason why I cannot mention a song really fitting to TI from notable demoscene artists isn't because the format couldn't make it, but because the TI OST's industrial tone was nonexistant back in the golden era of musicdisks and akin. I can list Necros's Modus X, Carnage and Mayhem or Gateway as closest candidates, albeit I also see that Modus X fails because it was still an Amiga MOD, relying on the fixed 4 channel limit, and the latter two (while S3Ms already) aren't dark enough.
Okay, there is a song I can mention TIish enough - Secretly Wishing, the SchismTracker demo song, albeit it's a semi-cheating since it relies on features Schism expanded the S3M format with, playing it down on a traditional module player like Winamp's would render it trash.
TLDR: S3M and XM are still strong formats well enough to suit video game music, especially electronic. The quality issues coming from soundcard memory limits are nonexistant these days, and you can easily utilize 44kHz samples even with SchismTracker or OpenMPT. _________________ "If you didn't get angry and mad and frustrated, that means you don't care about the end result, and are doing something wrong." - Greg Kroah-Hartman

Well I have a few mods that fall kind of inline with the industrial base, Thank U 4 $$s, Synthetic Bitch, Thanx Brasil...
If you plan to update the first one more, listen to a Future Crew mod named Inside Out, that will give you a good sense of the dramatic effect of even simple layering like I was suggesting above.
