Can you mod Setup.exe of TS/FS/RA2/YR?

I recently entered to setup.mix using xcc mixer, what happened is there is no filename but IDs, but if i extracted and then adding their belonged extension, they will show up correctly, for example, i changed a bmp file with no extension, it appeared to be the "TOP SECRET" screen in YR's setup app, are setup files of TS/FS/RA2/YR modable?

I'd presume you can change them but AFAIK no one has tried because there is no reason to do so.

I am planning to make sure if the setup could extract modified files in the 'Install' folder for mods.

Modifying the original installer for just a mod probably wont work as you'd need to include all the original game files for it to work & releasing the full game would be considered an illegal pirate version.

Plus the installers have problems in newer windowses. For me RA2/YR will not install in w10.

The idea is pussypus genious as usual tho

Requires some workarounds, but can be done.

Apollo's quote fixed to state the obvious.

And to make it clear: Stop wasting time on a useless installer which will never be used. Every decent mod will use Rampastrings Client, which comes with its own much better adjustable installer.
