This is probably unworthy of a thread, however. . .

I have observed that a few naval maps contain these islands furnished with abundant tiberium/ore. However, I cannot find a way to access these resources on maps where such islands do not contain an engineer capture-able establishment, such as maps 'Icy Floes', 'Arctic Disaster', &c. The appearance of this discussion lets me believe that these islands are only for decorative purposes.

Can someone clarify?

You can use the Chinook to airlift vehicles to those islands. To do this, select a Chinook, then click on the vehicle you want to airlift to make it attach itself to it and finally click wherever you want the Chinook to carry the vehicle to.

I see. I was doing the opposite (as you would with an APC). Thank you.
