Tweaked bios on both RX570 cards, uses about 101W each to mine ETH/ETC... I have an XMR miner setup I can switch to as well.

So far I've had 1 bad pci-e riser, and it took about 7-8 bios edits per card to get the best out of them. I use HWiNFO64 to keep track of any errors on the cards, and I've got them performing reliably with zero.

Just thought I'd show off my former backup machine mining before I build a dedicated mining rig, for which I'll be making a rack on top of a hollowed out case, using plenty of metal bits riveted together Smile

It's not really economically feasible in this corner of Earth to mine BTC or any other altcoins.

I just invest from time to time and hold.

Can't wait for the BTC crash after 1st of August.

Nah the crash happens before the event, seg-wit and block increase will be voted on by the rollout stats, not the invested ideologues.

I'm focused on buying ETH, mining ETC/XMR, it's very cpu-friendly to background mine XMR on my i5, since it loves 2mb cache per thread and my quad-core has 6mb, that leaves me one core free for farting around without even feeling it go. This machine will probably get a pair of gtx1060's for mining XMR and keep the envelope around 250W total as well.

Working on a mining rig for when my other cards come in, they'll be mounted horizontally, 3 per angle, and 1 inside the case. Still have to sort out the rear retaining system but the angles are tapped for the m3 screws at each position.

Second psu relay and ssd are mounted on standoffs in the nice empty spot.

I used to mine Litecoin back in 2013 when it was profitable. I had three rigs equalling about 2.5 MH/s and producing about one LTC per day. As soon as the ASICs came out, difficulty skyrocketed and profitability plummeted, and I sold it all. It was a good run though.

I then played the market with the 70 LTC that I mined, and turned it into about five. Ah well, it was all hobby money anyways. Still worth $250 ish if I were to cash out right now.

I could mine if I wanted but I don't have the money or time to dedicate to it. I guess I could hook up my 980 that's not doing anything, but... I don't have enough parts to build a working PC.
