Ukraine + Mad Tank Story -
The MAD tank is a heavy effect weapon that utilizes seismic technology mounted on scrap mammoth chasis's from the first great war.
The seismic hammer used is so effective at creating shockwaves that soviet engineers could not design a vehicle strong enough to deliver and withstand its impact in a single unit. Attempts to increase the quality of chasis proved useless as engine parts were still highly vulnerable to damage when firing the weapon. Towards the end of the second war, as the allies grew more powerful and eventually captured Yuri - still in pact with the allies yet with forces running dry - and USSR showing signs of collapse - Ukraine quickly fielded the MAD tank to "even out the playing field" on the view that the soviet union came out of the allied truce financially and militaristically worse off. The MAD tank has been resurrected to amend this issue and would be used on Ukraines European neighbours if a new deal could not be negotiated

China + Cosmonaut Story -
In admiration of the latest soviet achievements in space exploration and their infamous moon landing - the Chinese; who had kept their influence in the war to a minimum due to its trade deals with the allies in the west - now become one of the wealthiest benefactors to the soviet union and proud communist nation; had decided to themselves fund the space agency for their own private use, eventually flat out buying it off the USSR helping Russia to negate some of the financial reckoning caused by the war.
Prepared to aid the war effort if needs be - China trains thousands of cosmonauts for both utility and infantry combat in the vacuum of space - not in hope to achieve war and global domination - but to carry forth the legacy of the soviet union and the people of china deep into the future.
North Korea + Twin V3 Story -
Following the Allied peace treaty and the rise of Yuri, Soviet forces moved into Korea to defend the blackeagles against Yuri's naval forces on their home soil.
Soviet influence over the Korean people during this period were met with great admiration and respect. Communist ideals soon circulated and it wasnt long before arose a political party with the intent to liberate Korea from Japanese rule that such became known as - the peoples republic of Korea.
The power stuggle between Allied and Soviet influence over the nation grew ever more fierce with time, and by the time Yuri had been captured heated accusations were being made that the soviet union was deliberately pushing an agenda in korea to destabilize the empire to damage allied relations in the east. Eventually these debates ended with an eventual divide between the North and South and the construction of a wall, and with it came not protection, but even more paranoia.
As the USSR demanded a higher share of post war treaty benefits from the allies - it wasnt long before North Korea decided to take matters into its own hands and decided to do some weapons research of its own where North Korean engineers developed from old soviet designs - The V3 Twin Missile Platform; a two in one unit - the most deadly mobile ranged unit the world had ever seen.

The twin v3 uses voicelines from the generals Nuke Cannon. Some of these voicelines have been edited to better fit the unit.
Currently the twin v3 has 13 voice lines including 6 attack commands, 5 select commands, and 2 movement commands.

About the Unit:
The twin v3 is designed to be a two-in-one unit. Double strength, and double the armor (light+light=medium - same as harv), double the size (for transports) and most importantly double the firepower - by means of twin missiles. The unit receives no speed bonus and costs 1600 - double that of the v3 (in which it obsoletes - replaces - like blackeagle). This forces North Korea into a late siege, they are slower to get v3s on the field - but when they do - they dominate. They receive a greater cost reduction discount with the industrial plant than would buying two single launchers but have initially an increased cost when fielding, forcing North Korea into power during the late game by limiting their rush.
Yuri's Second Faction - set after Yuri's capture by the Allies.
Meet Egor - Yuri's creator. Considered too crazy even for the soviet union - Egor has lived his life in exile, partly because of his extreme disfigurement, but mostly because he is just damn crazy.
Egor is a mad scientist known for his attempts to use tesla technology to re-animate the dead. Some of his prized experiments revolve around the zombification of species, and the grafting of multi-headed monstrosities.
In 1949 Egor reverse engineered an alien craft shot down with a tesla coil near the arctic circle, where with it uncovering extra-terrestrial bodies in which he kept in a freezer while he attempted to understand the significance of what he had found.
Egor experimented with Human DNA and created a hybrid clone with extra-terrestrial traits, his child would soon learn to overpower him both physically and mentally. Yurias he was called from birth, Son of egor - learnt to weild his psychic powers for evil, and soon infilitrated the ranks of the soviet union in search of world domination, where Egor - his creator, had fled for antarctica in fear he would be witch hunted when the world found out about his monster.
As time had past, egor soon learned this was not the case however, and as Yuri was defeated time and again, Egor went into more and more obscurity beneath the ice sheets of antarctica, where he continues to preserve the inventions of Yuri himself, as he plots a plan for his freedom.
Egor is a unique faction, and uses morphication, hybrids and extra-terrestrial technology to dominate the battle field.
Logics to Associate with Egor + Concepts
Visitor - An abduction disk with stealth when still capabilities. It can abduct infantry and convert them.
Gastrooper - Close range front line infantry, the e4 infantry, The gas trooper deals area damage that can linger for some time.
Theif - A spy unit that can infiltrate battle labs and refineries but nothing else
EgorPrime / Assistant - A unit that can buff or convert infantry units into advanced infantry units with injectibles

More expensive than normal barracks, requires power.
Minion-
A short stubby clone of low intelligence used as front line infantry, they carry a close range gas weapon and can clear occupied buildings with ease, but unalike their counterparts cannot occupy themselves.
Zombie Dog -
Unlike attack dogs, zombie dogs will convert other dogs into more zombie dogs but will kill infantry as normal.
Engineer -
a little slower than the average engineer, because he is completely zombified, and zombies dont supress under fire.
RADAR -
Mortar Infantry -
The best range siege infantry of the game. Totally pieced together from 6 differnt dead guys. Zombie - will not supress, will regenerate at veteran.
Assistant -
Assistants will steal vehicles, infiltrate battlelabs and take from refineries. Stolen vehicles can also be reverse engineered. Assistants can also tranquilize enemy infantry from range.
Egor Prime -
Egor is considered an engineer, and so can capture enemy structures or repair bridges. Egor may also enhance/buff/mutate friendly infantry, repair vehicles, or spread a zombie virus amongst enemy infantry if he is able to get close enough to use his injection.

Aside from play testing, a tunnelMK graphic in all theatres and a more suitable tunnel cameo - perhaps even a smoothing of china laodscreen - the soviet union is almost finished its concept development and implementation.
I went for china having a cosmonaut 1 for the nostalga - and 2 for the fact I did not want to portray China in a bad way, I want them to be seen as the new stability of the soviet empire not another warmonger (North korea takes that award). Here china is suppose to be substantially more sensible than the USSR in this game.
I think we have all Unique Units in place for Soviets - with unique mechanics and voicelines. All soviet loadscreens and flags are near their final versions. I think we are also waiting on me producing a Vietnam story, and that will come soon in soviet missions.
Everything seems to be coming together
We even have mad tank AI set up, although all AI could be improved across the board - the current AI is implemented to a standard akin to that of the developers.
Yuri is likely to stay in concept while i develop the allies.
We do not want to stay in development forever - and that is why this mod is less about - adding in bulk - more about designing what could be considered - as a canon expansion.
I do plan missions, my original plan was 1 mission per new nation added - with Egors mission being a survival type game, where you defend his Antarctic base from endless onslaught, but not sure I might do a proper few missions for him. But the plan was - each new faction +1 mission. Making 4 missions for soviets, 3 missions for allies and 1 mission for egor.
I cant wait to test some of the mechanics in real non-set-up tactical situations.
There was a snag with the South African intended unique unit, The Carryall - in that the logic did not operate as I had thought I remember it had from back in the day. And I refuse to allow it be produced from the air pad, and so it is back to the drawing board for south Africa, but luckily we are able to implement better than expected - Canada's intended unit, and I am at a choice between one of two units I have planned for Australia.
So tonight I will perhaps finish the tunnel with MK buildups in all theatres with possibility of using additional theatre art for desert maps. I will also work on a final cameo if I can, perhaps tweak the original mad tank cameo from ra1 aswell - as well as its laodscreen. QUICK_EDIT

Repair Anim
Concept is inspired by Canadas contribution to the international space station.
THis one is a defense utility able to repair vehicles for free within 1 cells radius. It may also repair multiple vehicles at a single time. Giving a small but constant health buff to those defending within its radius.
It base + cameo will likely go through some more iterations. QUICK_EDIT
Ai programmed for Cananda, they wont use the Canadarm as efficiently as a player would, but they build them, and produce a variety of vehicle teams to defend them in each, easy, medium and bruta QUICK_EDIT

General Soviet Faction Changes :
Soviets can no longer train the Giant Squid, and instead have access to a Stingray.
In addition to this, most tesla weaponsa are able to remove giant squid from soviet vehicles.
Yuri Faction Changes
Yuri can now train Giant Squid.
Boomer is pushed to battle lab.
Squid is drawn to Psychic Sensor + Naval Yard.
MCV Grinder refund value nerfed - no longer makes money.
Currently yuri and france are denied in most high level games. Changes like these are attempts to remove the hate of yuri, and get players to start using him again in balanced play.
Cuba -
Cuba recieved minor enhancements to their Terrorist infantry, of whom are a nation that is generally underplayed on CNCNET. For this reason, the cuban terrorist gains the ability to cross water.
China -
The Chinese cosmonaut is a tactical airbourne infantry similar to the rocketeer. A common allied tactic in competitive online is to amass rocketeers as an early main response team, and pressure undefended areas. China gives the soviets equal footing with the allied rocketeer and can fulfil a similar role.
North Korea
North Korea takes a new approach at implementing a unique unit. North Koreas Twin V3 obsoletes the standard V3 launcher by combining the armor, strength, size, theat and warheads of two v3' launchers, but in a single unit.
In online games, although v3 rockets are useful, it is not something you can generally rush if you are playing against a good player. The boom phase that may ocurr on high money maps allows Korea to produce and command half the ammount of units but with twice the firepower. Giving them potentially the strongest siege force in the game if used correctly. The twin v3 is more cost effective than two single v3s, but only after the construction of an industrial plant. The V3 also builds faster than two individual launchers would.
Vietnam
Vietnam is team player, able to make tunnel connections between friendly bases giving a signifncant early defensive boost, especially on maps where team start locations are scattered. In addition to this, the tunnel is the cheapest available base defence (above walls) and so all angles of a vietnam base can be defended early game. Tunnels open vietnam up to a plethora of strategy in base defence, where not only could they protect infantry from incoming superweapons, but also desolators and radiation attacks (with iraq being the most popular soviet faction played) tunnels offer a mechanic not just to protect ones infantry but to move infantry around the map safely and quickly.
Ukraine
Ukraine brings tha Red Alert 1 style mad tank to the game. The mad tank is a heavy armoured unit and the most expensive unique unit in the game, at 2400. IT takes 40% health from buildings, and 45% from vehicles in up to a 10 cell radius from its detonation. The MAD Tank will harm friendly buildings and vehicles and so is most effective when used alongside large teams of infantry.
In terms of multiplayer, The MAD Tank is a new threat when amassing large groups of vehicles. If used correctly just one mad tank could allow a ground force to take on another groundforce double its size and win, and such the usage of this strategy comes with a large financial risk.
It is likely that Russias Tesla Tanks will receive a special bonus vs the MAD Tank.
Canada
Canada is the first complete Allied nation bringing a repair arm defensive utility into the field. The canadarm provides free repairs to vehicles within its small radius. Only a set number of vehicles may huddle around a repair and benefit from its effects.
Grand Cannon Spam is a major reason why nobody likes to play with france. Canada offers a counter to both Ukraines Mad Tank, and Grand Cannon spam crawling, by offering free on the field auto-repairs to friendly vehicles.
I like the terrorists, but I would remove the swim and make them hijack some
vehicles and suppress their death weapon when killed by bullets.
Price could be 400$, but not more. A deploy suicide ability could also be used.

thanks man, 200 cost for a terrorist is essential, as it means you can spam the hell out of them quick enough on waypoint when you've got high money reserves and 3+ barracks.

And I forgot to mention - terror drones + tunnels is a must try.
Tunnels also have extra adjacency and can be placed further away than normal defences, making tunnels another tool useful in getting close to an enemy creeping with grand cannons. Or flanking an enemy blockade. QUICK_EDIT

So we are looking at
Iraq - with its desolator, very useful in actual application, the rad eruption pretty much instakills all infantry in radius (i think 8 cell) and applys heavy damage to tanks and ore. Thats why is such a good unit because when you are up against big armies you pretty much have the ability to cut them down using a unit that costs a fraction of the price.
This is where great britain comes in. Great britain outranges DESO eruption and so if you are playing against good iraq players your best shot at doing so is great britain.
America is always going to be a favorite merely because it is a unique ability you can make sure that you are using to its max effect, simply by calling or ammassing free units. Is a no brainer if you arent all that good or willing to do hard micro. But again, snipers and deso when you're looking for the nation with most useful tactical edge to help u win. . see
Again like america korea is the same, but having black eagles does not give a new tactic or playstyle, it just buffs an normal playstyle, where due to lack of versatility in available tactics; generally speaking thats what people want when fighting other players. It also applys to tank destroyer, germany - that is considered a good nation to pick in most games, but again, black eagles vs tesla tanks or tank destroyers people will go for eagle.
Introducing more features and mecahnics into the already etablished game may help us influence these leading nations, and perhaps encourage the use of both orignal nations that get either denied entry in playing in 2v2s 3v3s or 4v4s or that the player lacks a means to counter.
Like russia, cuba, libya, (especially libya) are not particularly bad nations - for example, with superweapons russia + iron curtain shoots over walls, can destroy conyard easy. But as the bulk of the gameplay tends not to be superweapon based, since superweapon games tend to be shorter and tech rushing - it would be nice to bring these units into the standard no-superweapons 3v3s and 4v4s again. (not that it doesnt happen) but that we gotta be seeing more of it. Again Cuba + Iron curtain, is good, but whats the deffence between terrorist and crazy ivan in a flak track? not much really, they both do the same thing - so again why bother picking the terrorist? its cheaper sure, it has discretion (watch out for the bumps!) its just not quite persuasive enough for people to use when fighting someone they kno is a pro who just going to spam them down with basic korea tacics, mega desolator micro and you know.
Like think about this,
With the introduction of Canada, providing a defendable turret for repairing vehicles, desolator looks a little less worrying, and where comes the usage of Canada to counter Iraq enters Germany to take out Canada, where tank destroyers will smash these tanks whether or not they are being healed by the arm. And again, chain reaction - once Germany is in - America might come along, once America is in we have snipers looking useful. and it goes on
all that kind of stuff.
Thinking Masses of Siege Choppers and Desolators, Enforced by Apocalypse Army of 20 or so, and flak trak crew. Dominant tactic, maybe best tactic because of the dEso ability.
I cant take ingame screenshots because of the Ares injectable and the resolution overlay on the base Yuri's Revenge running on windows 10. Screenshots give me black screen, due to the resolution change required, and because this isn't running in CNCNET yet - a more stable build - I cant take screens.
I play tested all nations last night, vs a Ukraine enemy, who likes to pump out mad - tanks and lots of infantry teams, including a mad-tank boris team
But anyway, I played through with superweapons on as sort of a bench mark, and beelined superweapons each time to test how easy or hard it was to defeat Ukraine on superweapon rush game, using the new units and abilities, to see how useful they are versus AI.
And It was great fun Vietnam of course saw little usage of their tunnels, but I had a well defended base pretty quickly, and I pushed a forward MCV behind their base towards the end but I had already won really. They would work best with human players I am sure.
But yes, all is good, China cosmonauts get shot down easily, but deal serious annoyance damage.
Mad Tank with ivans, Mad tank with tesla troops and flak tracks, really fun to play with.
Twin V3 allowed me to seriously pressure the AI whilst nuking his base. Lots of fun. The extra damage they absorb really helps.
Canadarm proved really useful against MAD tank attacks. Even one time - a triple mad tank attack, (as was the original Ra1 staretgy where 3 mad tanks could level a base) when ai sent a triple mad tank rush, my canadarms kept my vehicles alive to take on the next wave.
We are getting there guys.
I also tested a FFA with me playing as the United States vs some new and some original nations.
THis was a good game, Yuri using his naval forces properly, jumping my aircraft carriers with squid.
Ukraine pressuring me with mad tanks until i cut his bridge route off.
Canada building up grizzly teams, mirage teams and prism teams to defend their canadarms.
