The Tiberium Storage is a simple containment unit used to store excess Tiberium. While it's capacity is less than a Refinery's, it is much cheaper to construct en masses and it's compact size means it does not occupy too much base space. Note however that it is a relatively fragile structure and any Tiberium contained inside it will be lost if it is destroyed although the few scattered fragments that remain can be reharvested. It's shoddy construction tend to be full of cracks which Tiberium miasma can seep through, healing nearby mutants.
