Alright so I don't often use wood bridges but I played a map recently which reminded me of this: Westwood screwed up the art for the collapse pillar sections on temperate, reverting to the concrete/land art. I made new wood/water art sections and started testing...

So test 1 on play map showed some clipping, and I could find nothing wrong, so I made a test map in the other direction to test the other. This test map showed an even stranger side effect beyond clipping, the appearance of a cargoplane under the bridge! I tried 2 test games in a row and the cargoplane showed up at different positions on the NE side of the pillar, both times along the bridge axis.

Game glitch?

My next thought was redoing the pillar tile to be flat, flattening the 1-high sections and using the extraimage exclusively on the back, but I have not done so yet...

Has anyone tried to do this?

The clipping looks like bad Z-data on the extra image.

That was the first thing I checked, the extraimage z-data was fine, the main image z-data was unusual, but I repaced them to no effect.

Currently making flat versions to try.

EDIT: flat seems to work!
