Just in time for the holiday season, OpenRA release-20191117 is now available with all of the features and fixes that have been tested and refined in the playtest builds over the past few months.

Big new features like save-game support, new UI for Tiberian Dawn and spectators, and completely overhauled unit behaviours make this one of our most exciting releases to date!

For more details, we hand over to FiveAces who has put together a comprehensive video introduction:

If you don’t like videos, the main changes have been outlined in previous news posts (one, two, three), and, as always, in the full changelog. A new Mod SDK release is also available for the modding community to take advantage of the new release.

Grab the installer now for your operating system from our download page! It has been a long road to this release, and we hope you enjoy it!

Do end game board give all detail like spectator UI? and I wonder if feature like graphic anti-aliasing is possible to apply to this engine?

You can press escape to hide the end-game menu and use the spectator UI directly at the end of the game.

Very nice work on the video presentation giving a well made summary of the changes
and of course also nice work on the changes in the first place.

I wonder if OpenRA is going to end up having better gameplay than the remaster. Besides the slow default gamespeed OpenRA has a lot of good features that's probably going to be lacking in the remaster.

This is true...

I do hope either one remakes the terrain like TI and D-Day did. The original terrain is severely lacking in detail, and it'd be nice to see how far we've actually come in the past 2.5 decades or so.

If only I can get my hand on some custom tileset for use as template I would do it.  Very Happy

Depends. Tiberian Dawn on OpenRA has 0 usually. Maybe 15 players on Red Alert. And usually 0 on Dune. I prefer OpenRA Tiberian Dawn more than their version of Red Alert so for me it's 0 players. And since I like turning up the default game speed, disabling fog, and turning on shroud that makes people not want to play with my settings making it even harder to get a match.

The RA player count there is a bit optimistic, and TD actually has a negative player-count for several hours each day. Its too bad that the website definitely doesn't have a page showing the real player activity and the best times to play, so you're right to not bother and to stay away Smile
