The version 0.588 has been released with improved support for the AES encryption used on the .MEG files from Petroglyph, especially on config.meg of some of their games, including the recently released 9-Bit Armies. I know that this change was not exactly on our roadmap, but sometimes, we need to take good opportunities to improve key parts of the program. A big thanks to Mike.nl for the tips on how to catch these AES keys.

And with that, we can start modding 9-Bit Armies! All you need to do is to look for some .XML files inside XML/OBJECTS. Look for the directories UNITS, STRUCTURES, although there are so many things to customize there.

Remember, however, that once you are satisfied, you must save your changes in another .MEG file, since mods must not replace config.meg and OS .BIG Editor does not save encrypted .MEG files. List your .meg file in megafiles.xml from your mod, in order to make the game read it. And have fun!
